Yes – this is what we do for a living. All our energy and efforts are dedicated to making each event perfect. Hiring a DJ that is in the business full time allows our clients to feel assured that we will provide a professional, reliable service, and we’re not after some quick weekend cash.
How do you mix the music?
Mixing is a pretty basic skill for a professional disc jockey, but how a DJ does it says a lot about his or her style. Our DJs mix music for the purpose of creating high-quality seamless transitions between songs and maintaining the energy and momentum on the dance floor. Mixing for us is something we do on the spot, based on the tempo and “feel” of the songs and the reaction of the crowd.
We don’t treat your wedding like it’s our personal nightclub appearance, and we don’t use your wedding to test out remixes that no one recognizes. We also don’t use any cheesy, prefabricated “DJ mixes” with corny sound effects and we don’t treat every transition between songs as an opportunity to show off our ability to scratch. Instead, our DJs focus on making the perfect transition between each song and building sets that maximize the amount of dancing and fun at your event.

What is your Wedding DJ coverage area?
We encourage you to be as involved as you would like to be! Most of our clients place great value on music and probably have very distinct ideas about what they want to hear. If you would like to select every song, we are happy to accommodate you. The majority of our couples, however, prefer to discuss with their DJ, in depth, their preferences and at least a few specific requests. We pride ourselves on listening to our clients and respecting their input and wishes, while providing additional suggestions and guidance when appropriate. Rest assured, you will never hear songs you have asked not to be played, or genres you’ve told us you don’t like.
Yes – we carry full liability insurance policy and are happy to provide it to your venue.
Our performers’ typical “uniform” for weddings is a professional, suit/blazer with a dress-shirt and appropriate accessories (tie, pocket square, etc) – we want to blend seamlessly into the background of any dance floor photos, however we are happy to wear whatever is appropriate for your event!
Out of respect for the privacy of others on their special day, Awaaz Entertainment does not permit prospective clients to “drop in” on a wedding. However, our references, online reviews, and the information we provide you in our initial meeting will speak volumes of our experience, style and professionalism. This being said, our DJs are occasionally spinning at public events such are bars and lounges, ask us if we’ll be at any public events and we’ll be happy to let you know!
We primarily serve the Florida/Georgia region, however we are available to travel world-wide, including destination weddings.
